Tell us about your bow. If it has fiberglass in it we'll have to post it on "Around The Campfire".
-
no its not fiberglass its just paint . my bow is 50lb at 30inches . black locust limbs and ash riser .
-
Very nice recurve. Well done. 8)
I'm going to move this to "BOWS".
-
Nice bow man, that thing has some serious curves
-
Id like to see more pics if you have them.
-
so here they are
-
it took no set, the limb wood was dryed about 8 months. limbs are heat treated . now all i nedd is a good string
-
Is it a takedown or 1 piece?
How did you attached the limbs to the riser?
-
That's slick. I see how attached the riser.
-
the limbs are attached with little bolts but they are not seen. because I covered them by the mixture of glue and wood dust
-
Whats the ntn length? whats the width of the working limbs?
-
its 176 sm ntn. limbs are 3.5 -2 sm wide and 10mm-7mm thick. 50 lb at 30 inches. shoots pretty fast but I need beter string for better performance
-
Interesting.... I would love to see a video of it in action,,, Looks great!!!
-
Slick job there Kush!!! 8)
-
yeah I will post video as soon as I get normal string. thanks for yout comments
-
That takes me back. My first dozen or o bows were R/D bamboo backed bamboo flooring and wood bows, mounted on a riser just like that, but smaller like a longbow would be. Just an all wood copy of the fiberglass R/D longbows that were coming on in popularity back in the late 80's.
She looks great. Your design choices all seem very sound. Good job.
-
yeah may be , :D I am just 22 year old .
-
Being 22 is irrelevant, one of the best builders on here is misslemaster, and i believe he's 22-23

Looks great....missilemaster's OK for a rookie ;D >:D
