got this complete the other day, padauk and boo, real beautiful wood, anyway it's 66"ttt and 54#@28" and fling's an arrow with some authority, it has 2" of reflex starting about 18" from center and after a couple hundred arrows still has it all surprised the crap out of me :D, I put a coat of amer. walnut on the boo then rubbed some gunstock cherry on the nodes and faded it but it's a soft fade but I used the cherry to go with the color of the belly wood, longhorn tips and ff string thanks for looking(http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/bubncheryl/paddauk%20and%20boo/102_4584_zpsvl40mpyz.jpg) (http://s623.photobucket.com/user/bubncheryl/media/paddauk%20and%20boo/102_4584_zpsvl40mpyz.jpg.html)

You put the steering wheel on the wrong side, but other than that she is a sweety! Good job on the reflex placement.

Nice looking bow bubby. I have some boo slats and yew lumber sitting in my corner but I keep grabbing staves.  Seeing boo backed bows like this makes me wanna pull those slats out. Thanks for posting

Nice bow bubby, but im getting a kick out of your fence. I see evidence of an archer living there with the arrow sized holes in it. :) privacy fences make terriable back stops. Perhaps a bit of ply would help?

Perfect design for the woods used....nice job Bub :) my two most favorite bows to shoot the last year are narrow 66"ntn bendys very similar to this(except narrower tips ;) ..) Smooth, stable, accurate,n packs a punch.

That paduak it's striking with the stained boo.  The tiller is perfect, and I really like the color of the longhorn tips too.  Well done all around.

VERY nice.  Paduak is one of the woods I wanted to make a bow from so badly, but gave up on after a couple attempts.  I had a heck of a time with it cryshaling; it seemed to have good strength and stiffnesss, and little elasticity.  It would actually fracture and crumble away.  Same with purpleheart, and less so wenge.

I might have to give it another go.  So pretty.

Looks like a good 'un from here. Nice job with the stain as well on the boo.
I've had the same problems with it as Springbuck. I've also had it fail as core wood in a tri lam elb, it just started cracking all the way along it's length when I got to full draw with it  :o

Thanks Paul, yeah i had to make one for my brother that he is giving to somebody plus if i make them all lefty it kinda limits who i can give them to and most guys want a rest
Mike this was some stuff my hardwoods supplier gave me and after due diligence searching it seened that most bows that failed with this wood were under 66", anyhow she's holding up well

Looks very good. Did you use the African Padauk ( Pterocarpus Soyauxii) or the real thing from Thailand/Burma which is 30-40 % stronger in all categories (Pterocarpus Macrocarpus)
Markus.

Hey Bub!  What do you use to post pics?  My antiquated phone won't let me look at your pics and I want to see if i can find some updates to fix that problem.  As a matter of fact, I can't view about 75% of the pics posted lately.  I can view photobucket but only if i click on the little blue ?.  Its maddening to not get to look at my bow porn!  Josh
