Title: Mother in-law
Post by: mullet on January 28, 2015, 11:24:20 am: It's not a happy time at our house, either. My Wife's mother passed away early this morning.We had just moved her from the hospital yesterday to Hospice. She had a massive stroke last Wednesday, could not swallow and elected to not have a feeding tube installed, and had a DNR signed.

I've known her longer then my wife and will truly miss her.

I'll say a prayer for her and your peace tonight.

Sounds like she was ready to go.. She made her decision, and went quickly. For that there is much to be grateful. Bless her and all that are like her. Strong woman to face the unknown with such determination. Many fight out of fear. Seems like she took it head on. Much to be said for that and I hope I am half as strong when my number is called.

She was a big part of holding my marriage together during some rough spots when some mothers in law would have told their daughters to bail. Only some of us get lucky enough to get good ones when we get married.
