Title: Dade City Knapp-inn Canceled

I just got off the phone with one of the Rangers at the park and he confirmed that the Knapp-inn is off this year. The Star gazers have booked the whole weekend(we used to share) >:( >:(
Well I hope to make Silver Springs on  Feb. 20-22.

That sucks, but in a way it just helps me make up my mind.  I'll be at Silver Springs.

I wasn't able to get through for camping arrangements, Roger.

How do you just cancel a knap-in and stop doing it? I have been wondering this myself?

The knappers donation to the park may have been to meager??
The bucket of coral only went for $50 at auction. Two bidders was all.

So it was canceled because of a lack of operating funds or a lack of attendance, or both one caused by the other?

It changed hands a few years back and continued to get smaller every year. I don't think they advertised it locally at all so last year it was almost all vendors .
