Hey guys here's some pictures from a museum my wife and I went to. I wished I would have gotten more, and better quality, but I got excited when I saw the banner stones and snapped a few pictures without really thinking about what I wanted to get. If you are close by, I think the museum is worth a stop. Mostly stuff about the Auto & Lumber industries, but a nice section of this stuff(I barely have scratched the surface here) as well as a sports museum, and a big train display. Admission is super, super cheap.

The display case the stones were in, note the mammoth(mastodon? I can't remember) tooth:

It's definitely worth it if you are in the area. It is in a big old post office building.

Thanks for the post. next time I get over that way I will be sure to check the museum out. Wonder where the non-Michigan knapping materials came from. My guess would be Indiana and Ohio.

There was a map showing where some of the different material came from, lots of Indiana and Ohio, but also some Onondoga stuff from out near Buffalo.
