Figured I would post some pictures of a Maple tree I recently cut down and I think I might get a bow out of what was left.
I saved 2 pieces. The shorter piece is from the base of the tree and is about 66" long and roughly 7" at the base. The second is about 80" long and about 3" at the wide end. The second piece is from the trunk and was about the 7' to 14' section (give or take). Let me know what you guys think.

Here is the second.

Maple is a fine bow wood for me. Try it and give us pictures of our work.
Down with the bark, split or sawn into halfs, sealing the ends and wait for some weeks/month.
A Flatbow is in both pieces 8)
