Well kind of anyway. My little girl wanted to go as a female Robin Hood character for Halloween. So we grabbed a slat of ash I planing to make a bendy handle kids bow from, hurried it along to make it look presentable (I only had a few hours notice) and she has a Robin Hood worthy weapon!
So last night we went to a big Halloween party and she won fist place for having the most "fun" costume. So even though the only thing I really did was provide a prop for a cute kid I'm still taking partial credit!
Lots of people (mostly dads) were asking about her bow. So I got to hang out with the winner, drink Kool-aid, and talk bows with the guys. Pretty good evening in my book!

awesome. being a parent has its perks lol

Good job passing it down to the kids, sounds like you might have a grown up or two asking more questions in your future too.

Good for you, Dad!

Great job! I made a short bendy bow for my son when he was younger and wanted to be an Indian for Halloween.

You did good, Dad. :)

Good for dad! I'm making a bendy for my 13 year old niece. She joined the archery thing at school. (not sure what it's called) she came over and asked if I could make her a bow so she could practice at home. Patrick

Way to go Dad. When my son was little I made him a takedown bow that I still have. Probable @10#. Really good to read your note.

Here's a pic of Ms. Robin Hood. I think she looks great but I am a wee bit biased!
