I believe that is a Modoc style bow. The Modocs were a tribe from the northern California / southern Oregon area. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

It's going to look like any West Coast bow to the average archer with a bit of knowledge. Let's wait until an expert comes along and hold off on naming random tribes who shoot similar bows.

Interesting video, Tommy. Thanks for the link.

Modoc self bow of yew. Nice one

Bay Area bows were the miwok hook nocked sinew backed cedar or California nutmeg from trade. They also used self bows of bay and oak with pin nocks. North of the bay was the sinew backed yew paddle bow. The seperation was there between the Pomo north and Bay Miwok south

Wow~!! So much wonderful information!! Thank you guys!! Does anyone know an approximate value of such a bow?
-
It should be priceless ;)
Can you post some more pictures please. Sideview and the belly to show the profile and the grain would be great.

Depending on if it is an artifact or a replica it could be priceless or worth some money at least since it looks pretty old? If it's an artifact then you need to find out the history on how it came to be yours and go from there. Beautiful bow. The tips don't look recurved are they?
