Very nice and simple, just the way I like it. Good job. Patrick

Nice arrows. Looks like you left the bark on the shafts?
-
I scraped off the outer bark, Bryan. Thanks, Patrick. Jawge

"There's some brown, old growth stock there too in the bushes...somewhere deep. Too deep." I love that part...
I actually saw this earlier today and made a resolution to do battle with some multiflora rose sometime this year. It will probably be in the winter so I can see it a bit better. Anyway, your arrows and broadheads look great - thanks for the buildalong!

Very nicely done Jawge,enjoyed. :)

Nice! Glad to see some one else using wild rose. I have some really big patches in my woods that I have harvested woody stalks tht are an inch in diameter. Makes one helluva scary looking club!

Thanks for looking in Pappy, TimBo and Neolithicman.
LOL. I can't make enough arrows to keep it in check. :)

I cut some rose at one point and the pith was massive, made up most of the shaft. Does this shrink down significantly or was I just cutting the wrong species?
-
Bubbles, were you cutting wild rose or a berry like raspberry? Those are in my yard too.
Wild rose has a pith but it is a small part of the shaft.
Kind of like a natiural carbon or aluminum shaft. :)
Got photos?

It was a while ago, pretty sure it was rose, but I can't remember for sure. Ill check it again next time I'm out there.

They look great! Where did you get the metal for the trade points?? How thick is it???
-
Thanks, Chad. I inherited it from my dad. I can check the thickness tomorrow. I forget. Jawge
-
No big deal, I was just curious!
-
Looks like it is 1/16 thick about. Jawge

Thanks! I appreciate you checking it out for me.

Chad, you are welcome. I should mention that the point comes in at 125 grains when finished.
