Posting this one so that y'all will know that I am still alive and kicking. ;D This one is the bumblebee. 54 tip to tip. 44lbs @27". Some whooptydoos and snakey spots, but it sure shoots good. It's great to be drawknifing again after three months healing up from the rotator cuff surgery.

And a pic of the tip.... This bow was from a small stave. I actually had it almost finished in June, but I had to wait to shoot it in.

Nice little bow there Howard. Glad you're recovering well.
-
Howard glad to see you back man! And what a way to open with a full drawn beautiful shorty...Just in time for hunting season, eh?

You've made a nice little shorty, Howard ... and good to have you back at the workbench!
-
Love the character in that short one, nice job.

Thanks so much fellows. I sure have missed my shop the last few months. I have another one almost ready to post. It is a wonky looking recurved character bow that has limbs that are stepped down out of the handle so bad that it wouldn't fit on the tiller tree! It shoots great though! It feels great to be chasing rings again.

Nice little shooter Howard! Back in the saddle again!

Good to have you back in action Howard. Looks like your gonna get to hunt this season from the way your drawing that bow back. Nice work on the bow also buddy, real good looking bend you got on it.
-
Howard that's is a sweet, looking bow, glad to see you back in the game :).
-
Nice to see you posting bows again Howard. Looked like a challenging piece of wood. Nice looking bow you wrangled out of it.
-
Great bow Howard. Glad to hear you made a swift enough t draw a bow recovery. I love the bow. Can't wait to see some more
-
Nice bow. Looks like it's putting the arras where they belong, and that's the "proof of the pudding".
Congrats on a nice piece of lumber.
-
Glad your back Howard. Nice one on the return.

Thanks for all the kind words. It is great to be back to work and I am truly blessed to have healed up quickly. It is still a little sore but getting better every day. Y'all take good care of your shoulder joints. I should have gone to the doc a couple of years earlier, but I was being hard headed about it. Archers overuse parts of their bodies and sometimes let other parts go and it can sure put a body out of balance in a hurry. I intend to take care of myself a little better than I did these first 49 years! Thanks again fellows. I appreciate y'all.
