				the  long siyah yuan bow, has some limb torque im working out,,,,,,the Turkish is ready for decoration.this bow has very nice clear translucent horn on the belly, the fish-tail slpices and the horn/core grooving is very visible

				Do you groove all your horn and wood mating surfaces?
Ive started collecting all the pieces for a horn bow of some
type, to get going on this winter.
ill post some pics soon to maybe get some suggestions.

				Wow... I just love the look of these horn bows, even the broken ones you posted, just curvy and sweet little things. If I had a good supply of all the needed ingredients I would love to attempt to make some. I will continue to improve my skills and some day I WILL make a great horn bow. Thanks for the posts, really gets me all excited and anxious to work in the shop!!

				yes wg, on these bows they are fully grooved,,   but they are not deep ,, only 1/2- 1 mm in depth
the yuan bow has to be heated at the siyah and moved in the opposite direction,, this bow has been giving me fit
