hey guys, here is a few that just didn't make it :'( :'( :'(
broke Scythian, tartar, persian,,,,,,their souls have been released O:)

That sucks!! I'm planning on trying one soon, but i've been saying that for a long time. :o
When one breaks like that, is it possible to salvage the horn , or sinew? If the horn is not broke obviously

I guess I should reword that last question. Have you ever had only the core wood break, and be able to salvage the horn?

yes dave the very bottom bow is a Persian, it had a total horn delam, during the last shot lol.. so I used the horn on another bow and soaked the sinew off and used it  too

THE James Parker is fallible?  Oh say it isn't so!!!   ;D
Thanks for showing the dark side of bowmaking. namely that we continue to strive for better and better results, often at the cost of time, materials, and sanity!

				Blimey :o
... dunno if I'd have the intestinal fortitude to persevere... only time will tell if I try my hand.
I s'pose it's possible to build a relatively low stressed one... but then who wants a 35# horn bow? ::)
You have both my admiration and condolences.

That really blows, all that time for the bows to fail. Are all the failures due to delaminations? Thanks.

			-
that's alot of hours laying there!!

			-
Could you list the reasons for each failure and woy to fix the problem before breaking?

			-
What hits me when i see those broken gems is the TIME lost...ouch :o

			-
Adam, if you worry about that you will never build one...at least not a second!  ;)

Well thankful the only casuality was the bow and not the person. Sorry to see this happen. But when your on a new frontier testing limits and/or materials these things happen.
