I like the way the tips turned out on this one. The bow came from a poor stave that sort of split off the log sideways and did not have much width to work with. Was reflexed off the handle then deflexed, so I just flipped the tips a little. I wasn't even sure it would make a shooter. Ended up being a good one that should spend some time hunting this year. 65" long around 55# at 28" draw. Deer antler tips. Leather grip done by my son in law.

WOW that is an absolutely fantastic looking bow!! Those antler tips are awesome, were you just using a rattail file to make the nocks then polished them up? Also how did you go about cutting off the antler tip from the tine? My dremmel died recently so another method will have to work...
-
Nice one. Very reminiscent of the Swiss style longbow.
"
A saw will easily cut antler. A good hacksaw is fine although I guess a butcher's 'bone" saw would likely be the best choice.
-
Rat tail file, chainsaw file, then sandpaper. I cut the horn on my bandsaw and flattened it on the beltsander. Thanks
-
Never heard of the swiss style longbow Pat, I will have to look that up. Thank you.
