I'm in the process of making an Osage bow and have linear crack on the lower limb on the fade out on belly side. I'm wondering if I wrap in artificial sinew can I tru oil over it? Or should I wrap after I tru oil before?
Thanks

i dont think you will have to do anything,, it is a check,,, it may even go away as you work the bow,,,
-
Superglue it and proceed like it doesn't exist.

Wait a minute..................at what stage of building the bow did you first notice the crack ????? ???

also it is in a non working part of the bow,,,

Good advise above. It's in the non working portion of the bow.

Looks like it's in the fads......but did it show up while tillering , was it there all along, how far are you to the target weight? Lots of variables.
Southern IL give us a few more details.......be glad to help...

It's in a non working part of the bow. It's at its target weight . I believe the crack was there but did not notice until almost tillered. Crack does not go thru to back. Thanks for the help.
