This is my 4 attempt to get a bow built for the TG bow trade. Fred Arnold sent me a nice stave in trade for some cane. I popped a belly split off of the stave and this is the top half. She's 66"t/t and pulls 50#@29". I've put about 60 arrows through her and will shoot more before she goes out. The stave had a few issued, none bad but I opted to rawhide back her. She is a tad bit shocky because to the tips being wider than normal due to a few checks near the tips. This is some very nice, heavy osage with reddish streaks and it was a pleasure to work with. Thanks again Fred. Here are a few pics. Sorry no full draw yet...

4th attempt!!!!! Your losing it Pat!
Good looking bow.
-
Tell me about it, Pearlie. I've never had so much go wrong trying to get a bow built. The others weren't too bad, just not trade quality. I gave one of them to KOAN and one to Auggie at the Classic.

thats a beauty pat
-
Nice looking bow pat, did you use the plastic bag trick to stain the rawhide?
-
Nice bow Pat. :)
-
Thanks guys.
Bubby, I used a dry sponge.

Very nice, someone will be happy.

Looks fantastic Pat. Glad that wind checked wood did the job.
-
So far so good, Fred. ;)

Looks great Pat. Can't wait to see the full draw shot

Yeah it's not an official patb bow without the fulldraw alongside the shop

Pat
Really like the way you finish off the rawhide.....
-
That rawhide backing really looks good.

Very nice Pat. The bow you made me is the nicest I have shot. Elk season is open and I'm just wait for a little cooler weather to try and make meat with it. Your bows are top notch. Your ricipient is going to be very pleased for sure. Great job. Can't wait to see the FD as well, in front of the shop like Bub said :)
-
Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Matt, I'm looking forward to a hero shot with you and a 400", 7x7. ;)
It is under our kitchen window where the FD pics are taken. Only place I have enough relatively flat wall for a background.

Very nice Pat, that braced profile is sweet.
-
Yeah BB, those slightly kicked tips add a lot of "sexy" to a bow but it's not just a pretty face. ;)
-
Looks like that dog will hunt Pat, ;) :) :) very nice job,the new owner should love that. :)
