I had a little time off for the Hollidays and managed to finish this one up.
Its Hickory 50# @ 27" 69ntn.
It is 1 1/4 at the handle with a slow taper to 1/2 nocks.
Its gained 3/4 of set after shooting quite a bit,so im happy. Here's some pics.

That's a fine looking weapon. I like the stain job, tiller looks good, nice job. Looks like a smooth shooter, too.
-
Thanks Hillbilly.
-
Nice bow, Ray. Is that cherry bark on the back of the hickory stained to look like cherry bark? Either way its stunning. Looks like the 12" above your hand is stiff but that could be the camera angle.
Whats the story on the bow on the wall. Looks old! Pat
-
Nice hickory stick Ray...... ;D
The dye job could of fooled me from here.
-
No actual cherry bark Pat,just some fiebrings leather die with a Massie finish.
The acetone blends/or runs the colors together.
The bow on the wall was my Dads(R.I.P)not sure of the year.I think it is 56-57 Bear grizzly static recurve 55#.More than I handle.
-
Thanks Ryan I did it on your old bow also, but it came out better on this one I think.
-
That is a beautiful stain job on a great bow. Justin

Heck of a nice bow mamba, the stain job is very realistic.
I'm with Pat on the old recurve on the wall, yes fiberglass is a swear word but the old Bears intrigue me :o
