sorry if this is a super major newb question but has anybody everued this stuff to wipe down their bow. I would think it would be good but thought I should ask before starting to do it.
also what is a good way to make it waterproof in case I get stuck in the rain. was thinking a waterproof wood finish. but again whats the best way ya'll have had success with.

A $5 can of Deft or Helmsman is 10x better.

you talkin bout minwax helmsman?
do I need to periodically wipe it down with anything?
-
That's the stuff. Zero maintenance after its on. 2-4 coats is plenty.

cool. thanks man.
got that bow straightened up and think you'll approve of what I got more now. I'll get some pics up later this week. just need to form my handle better and put some notches in the tips.
may ask more dumb questions later about the best notches for me too ;D

We coat anything wooden with Helmsman Spar Urethane at the Black Hills Raptor Center. It seals really tight and bird shiii-uh...stuff doesn't stick to it like it does to paint.
