Finished this point yesterday and just couldn't let it set on the bench. Found an antler that had a buffalo head in it and went to work. Kinda makes you wonder how many of these plains beasts were finished off with a similar point like this on the end of a spear. also had an old piece of buff hide to wrap the transition on the handle where I quit carving.

Hank hasn't posted any of his fancy work yet. This is his simple stuff. He did a largemouth bass coming out of the base of an antler once...it had a tiny little Rapala in it's lip complete with treble hooks and the gills were carved so you could look through the mouth and out the backside!
Not too bad for a lefse bender!

Killer work Hank! Blade, hafting and artwork are fantastic.

Amazing. What do you carve the antler with?

Thanks for all the comments. I use a dremmel on the antler and a clothes pin for my nose. The knife is going to a silent auction this weekend for American Heart Association fundraiser.
