I got my hands on a good crape myrtle limb. Its 3" wide 80" long. I didn't get poly on it quick enough and it split the next day after I cut it. It is about 8" and about 1" into the limb. Should I split it or cut the log down past the split.

I always split my crepe myrtle, rough it into a bow blank and coat the back and ends with 2 coats of pva. If you keep it in the round it will continue to split and you will end up with crap myrtle.

Ok thanks I'll split it the rest of the way.
