I was fortunate to receive my trade bow from Paul (paulsemp) last weekend at the Marshall Primitive Archery Rendesvoux. I was suprised to say the least. Paul is one heck of a bowyer and the bow I received is yet another great example of that.
The bow is a 60" NTN, Osage bow mildly reflex/deflex drawing 51#@27". He crafted it of dead standing osage that has just the right amount of character and an amazing color throughout. Paul's detail work is outstanding with a well done rat snake skin ending 6" from the bows translucent tips, I believe to be made of water buffalo horn. The perfectly contoured grip is covered in a thin, honey brown colored piece of leather stitched up the back of the bow. The string silencers are what appears to be white mink fur and finish the bow off nicely.
Without further ado:

Yea, I got to see it at marshall. Beautiful and quiet little booger. Very nice!

I think everybody that shot that bow at Marshall before you got there tried to keep it. It is a fine looking and shooting bow. Congrats to both of you.
-
That is a fine looking bow. That rat snake is cool on there.
-
Amazing. Those tips are incredible.

This is one of the prettier pieces of wood Ive seen. It shoots every bit as good as it looks. Great bow Dan-O and Pauly!

Thanks for posting Dan 8). I must say that when I drew your name I was very excited to have a person that I knew but also someone that I could hand deliver to. I have to tell everyone that I gave it to Dan in front of a few guys and he strung it up right away. We handed him a few arrows and as he drew back for the first shot I went up behind him and broke a piece of wood over my knee >:D (I think that was Drew's idea aka blackcoyote). He slowly let back and turned around like he'd saw a ghost till he noticed me with the wood in my hand. A great group of guys to hang with....even though we spend more time busting balls than anything.

Congrats on a fine looking bow. Nice work Paul.

That's a killer bow Dano you lucky dog. I got to shoot it before you arrived and it was the most accurate bow I've ever shot in my life and I've shot a lot of 'em, smooth and quiet too. Paul finished it off beautifully as well. Congrats Dan. :)

Nope, can't take credit for that one, i'm innocent, now I MIGHT have told him to get way close to that evil backstop of Pearly's!
Paul does some amazing work and this bow is proof, so NO EXCUSES Danny boy we expect to see some venison hero shoots this fall, Paul didn't tell ya about the list of names under the grip in case you can't handle that bow properly! ;D
