Post by: wildman on May 30, 2014, 06:11:13 pm
I have been running a few bank line and doing some tree rat shooting out of the canoe. The turtle was a 37lbr, I released it unharmed. No skwerlz were released unharmed >:D

It's turtles like that keeping me from "digital" fishing.  I'm no genius, but the idea of running my fingers into his mouth looking to pinch a catfish gives me the willies!

JW, if a guy noodled that old guy by mistake his nickname would be Lefty or maybe Righty.

Dang, she's a monster!  I love finding snapping turtles.  They're just so ancient looking!

Very cool to see your dog in action! Man that's a dandy snapper. Bet that one guy is glad that's not the one that got a hold of his nose >:D

Nice!  8)  Is that a Heron feather?  Good to see a dog work like that.  8) I hope you gave it lots of praise. ;)  Yeah, I have never been a fan of noodling.  Too many other things that hold up in a hole under water!  Snakes, and snappers, and even gators! :o  I like my fingers, and hands attached where they are!  ;)  I think I would rather just use a stick to see what was in one of those holes!  If it felt like a big ol catfish, fine, but it it felt like a turtle, or gator, nope, There are other places to look! ;)

Stickbender, that is a snowgoose feather AKA common skycarp. I sent Cip a bag full o assorted feathers. That was an escapee the dogs found.

Snappers are GREAT eating ! Lots of stuff comes from one that size - Meat, Shell (crafting), Claws (necklaces) and the Neck & Leg leather - makes the BEST Bow Grips/Arrows passes going. Bob
