I had a hernia fixed by the laproscopic method.  Couple little nicks in the skin and they did the whole thing with chopsticks from the outside.  More pain from my body getting rid of the nitrogen that they inflated my belly with than from the surgery!

Good luck, Bill. I'm setting up back surgery and hip replacement, I might be down for a little bit, too.

I had it done about 15 years ago, you'll be fine. You'll be back at it a week or so from the day you get it done. Good luck all the same! dp

Good luck Bill.  I had double hernia surgery two years ago, but it was bad enough that they had to open me up.  OUCH!  I hope yours goes better than mine and the healing is shorter duration.  I was out of work for more than a month.  I'm fine now even if recovery was slow.  I'm already thinking healing thoughts.
