Well I was excited at least, seeing as I cut all my bow wood (other than the lumber I buy) with a handsaw. I was always wanting to buy one of those heavy duty german handsaws in woodcraft, but they start at 100 bucks in there. I found this one brand new basically, still wicked sharp in the thrift store for 15 bucks! :) Can't wait to try it out!

In the traditional wood worker's mag. they list the German made one man cross cut saw, (32 inch) for $ 94.95 The 36 inch one was $104.95, both can be had with the supplementary handle, which goes where the hole is. Nice find indeed, and for fifteen dollars no less!!!! :o :o they also sell a leather scabbard for the one-man saw, for $139.95!!! Right, you betcha! ::) ::)
P.S. that's Blasphemy Pat M. !!!!! >:( >:(

I love cool thrift store finds. They are so much more satisfying than just buying some new thing. It's the thrill of the hunt! Good find!

Yeah, and you really gotta look for the deals anymore. They are all hip to ebay and stuff with their prices, especially goodwill, they got their own ebay store actually. The same thrift store I got this saw at has name brand clothes for 50 - 100 dollars sometimes. I used to go there to find a good pair of boots for 10 bucks. Now when I go there, a good used pair of timberlands will be priced 50 bucks and up! For a stinky used pair of boots! >:(

Great find. I go to the thrift store every day I work. It's right across the street and on the way to get coffee :). Some good finds over the last few years.
