I have been asked by some to post some pic's. I can not take all of the credit, hedgeapple Dave of Moontree provided me with the idea.

The angle is to keep from burning the wood. The bridge is adjustable for different sizes of cane.

Man I'm glad you posted this Bill! After watching you straighten shafts with it, I can definitely get my shafts a lot straighter and in less time using this jig. Thanks for taking the time to post pics!

That is just kool!

Thank you Danzn Bar! I am gonna make me one so maybe I won't be spending so much time in the woods looking for my arrows next year.

That is a nice set up Bill, I can see how that would work really well. Gonna have to put that on my list of things to make.

Another thing to add to my "gadgets to make" list...looks pretty dang slick!
Now what's the secret for keeping the shop so clean?! Wow ;D

Thanks for the post. Another thing for the self bow/arrow making crew to make on Thursday nights.

Great idea. Is the Metal in the jig two different pieces?

Yes, it's two different angles. one piece of angle for the "bridge" and the other for the curved base. The angle is 1" x 1" aluminum.
