I am going to head up to the old family homestead to hunt this fall and would like to make a couple hunting points from their local material. I know that stuff is hard to find, but I am hoping someone might have just a couple flakes or spalls of Pennsylvania jasper that they might want to trade for some FL material. I don't need much. just enough to make 3-4 points.

Oo that's an elusive n tuff one to get,and I live in pa....I live in western pa tho,and depending on where your at in pa(long state) in my area flint ridge and upper mercer points are usually most common...they must've traded for them because I'm 2 1/2 hours away by car,but its also the closest flint source to me....if your gonna be on this side of the state either of those would be more than fitting to using what the natives used here pre Columbus etc..plus that would be much easier to find than the jasper..just an idea and FYI tho...on another note I got some of that crappy Pennsylvania rhyolite if interested >:D ya might have to acquire a 6" dia dogwood billet with lead injected and then swing it like trying to split a 24"+ diameter hickory or elm log >:D

Ryan, if it's Flint Ridge you end up using let me know, I have some you are welcome to.

thanks guys. I figured it would be hard to locate. I might use something else and see if I can't snoop around while I am up there. I have a bunch of Flintridge too, but thanks for the offer Eddie!
