40" core, 8" levers, core is maple full quartersawn and gemsbok horn, almost ready to sinew

Looking great so far! I can hardly wait to see how it turns out!
-
I heard the horn bows don't perform all that well for the amount of effort. Anyone have any experience, don't get me wrong. I'm gonna try one someday. They r sweet!! Just wondered about performance
-
I think that depends on how much you make the bow work , if the sinew ain't getting stretched it's not going to be as effective as when it is, if I get the sinew working and achieve the desired draw length it should be pretty snappy, but i'm just going on a wing and a prayer on this one ;)

Nice truck, funny place to mount an antenna . :o
-
Cool, been wanting to tackle that beast for awhile but I think I'll just watch you do it instead ;)
-
bubby, where is the riser handle? I cant see it,,or are you attempting to make it bend through the handle ? ???
-
James I was planning a riser on the back, a reverse handle, think it will work?
-
most all hornbows have reverse riser, your core looks fine,, you need to glue one on before the glue sizings
-
Thanks James, you had me scared there for a second
