This is Nr. 3 from this thread: http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php?topic=45969.0
The wood is very nice, dark osage. It is reflexed about 4½“, the recurves are working. Tip overlays are antler of roe. Two cluster knots areas were wrapped as a precaution. The bow is asymetrical and 60½“ long.
Just noticed I have forgotten the front profile, will do that in the next days. (Sorry)
Enjoy

Very nice bow, Simon. I love the irregularity of the antler tip overlays. Cool! 8)

That is a very nice bow there. I like the tips with the off cut tip overlays. I love the unbraced profile
-
I'm a fan of working recurves myself, and you nailed that bow right there. Everything about it says smooth power, excellent.

Sweetness!!!! Love the unbraced :)

Simson
You are just to good :P
I need to rub your head for good luck.
Nice bow , I like how the antler is not wide enought as it fades into the osage
I LIKE ;) ;) ;D

Unbraced, braced and drawn. I like it all. The wood looks dreamy. Very nice work Sir.
-
Very nice indeed. I've only made 1 working recurve and they started to pull out after awhile. I hope yours fares better
-
Nice as usual! I really like that style of hanle grip did you glue twine wraps to make that ribbed look?
-
Super nice, as usual. Your bows are always so perfectly tillered.
-
Awesome recurve Simon. That will be a fine hunting bow for years to come.
-
You always make the most beautiful and elegant bows man! love it
-
You are obviously a very good bowyer. The tiller on your bows is always right on the money. You must also spend more time than many on your finish as it looks great.
-
That is a killer bow Simon, very nice all around. Wish I could get over to Germany to apprentice under you in the bow shop for a time. :)

All: Thank you guys for the nice compliments
Very nice bow, Simon. I love the irregularity of the antler tip overlays. Cool! 8)
Yeah, Pat. I found two pieces matching - the other is just opposing.Very nice indeed. I've only made 1 working recurve and they started to pull out after awhile. I hope yours fares better
Have shot now about 300 arrows, till now no let off. Hope it will stay with that reflex.
Nice as usual! I really like that style of hanle grip did you glue twine wraps to make that ribbed look?
That is a very simple thing. Just underlay some pieces of leather laces or some cord
.... You must also spend more time than many on your finish as it looks great.
That is really no great affair. I apply usually about eight coats of a homemade mixture of hardening oil. Every coat is done within 5 min.
That is a killer bow Simon, very nice all around. Wish I could get over to Germany to apprentice under you in the bow shop for a time. :)
Oh no Greg! You are the master! I know that for shure.
But if you ever come to Germany you must visit me. It would be great building and shooting bows together. I'm waiting for you.
