Title: Second Osage Snaky 62# @ 27''
Post by: adams89 on March 30, 2014, 09:14:55 am
This is a new Bow I have made for someone, it's Osage Orange and a pretty tricky stave the tips are made of wengee, the arrowrest is made of pearlrayskin, I did a few bindings just for decoration...
The top limb is 1 1/2 inches longer and both limbs have a little propeller twists so the tiller looks a bit of but it's ok in my opinion.
It was a lot of work to get this thing bending , but now i really like it.
It draws 62# at 27'' and it's pretty fast in my opinion..
I hope you like it too :)

Adams that is 8) Would love to see unstrung side profile so I can see how it's moving at full draw. I wouldn't have attempted that one bud, but you got it bending for sure.

That is one crazy stave. At first glance I thought you had a major hinge going on. Nice job 8)

jesse you are right from the sideprofile it looks like a hinge but that is because of the propellertwist when i was tillering this bow i was always looking from both sides to ensure no that there's no hinge. you can see that twist on the right limb in the stung up picture sideprofile.
