here's the money shot, draws realy smooth and shoots well too, I got this stave from elktracker a couple of years ago , I heated in a gentle reflex and flipped the tips and most of it is still there, don't see elktracker much on here anymore but thanks, bub (http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/bubncheryl/Cubs%20Football/buckthorn/101_4481_zps28969323.jpg) (http://s623.photobucket.com/user/bubncheryl/media/Cubs%20Football/buckthorn/101_4481_zps28969323.jpg.html)

Now, that's one beautiful ugly stick. I love the simplicity of it. My only suggestion would be to get the reflexed outer limb to open just a little more. other than that I love it!
-
thanks Pat, and yeah I know it probably should open up a touch more but it shoots so nice and has taken virtually no set so i'll leave well enough alone
-
10-4! 8)
-
Nice work Bub. I love those simple sticks.
-
thanks matt, here's a pic of the tip, I didn't do anything fancy on this bow at all, including the tips, I did stain with some dark walnut and wrapped the grip with hemp(http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/bubncheryl/Cubs%20Football/buckthorn/101_4491_zpsfb3f5ae5.jpg) (http://s623.photobucket.com/user/bubncheryl/media/Cubs%20Football/buckthorn/101_4491_zpsfb3f5ae5.jpg.html)

Sweeeeeeeeet. Is that's the ugly stick you were beaten with? Hahaha :D
-
this is a beautiful bow...nothin ugly about it. 8)
-
Well it's not all that pretty but not all that ugly either bub. Looks good to me. ;)
-
Nice bow bubby, I love bows with the pith channel still in there.
-
So what are the specs on this bow?
-
that ones so ugly it's not 8)
-
ya know what, I typed a whole bunch of stuff in the original post and just noticed none of it showed up ::), well it's 65"ttt and 54#@ 28", I heated a mild reflex in and then flipped the tips, I was going to leave the bark on like on a lot of OS but it didn't want to go along with that idea, so I scraped it off that was a bear, but I left a little on the tips, think it look's kinda cool and seems to be doing fine there, the stave is a whopping 1" dia. at the grip, it don't take much ocean spray to make a hunting weight bow for sure, got a crack in the riser both ends so I wrapped it with some back sinew, stained with dark walnut and hemp wrap on the handle, this was a gnarly, knotty, twisted kinky stave but I kinda like it, bub
-
thanks jordo but it was a bigger stick I got hit with :o
4dog, Greg, bubbles, Brian , zenart thanks a bunch, this girl is like the one on Seinfeld that looked great in the shadows but was kinda fuggly in the light >:D
