Heading that way instead of Oregon. No water what so ever to be found on the acreage we purchased out there. Sold it to the neighbor, and are now looking around Waynesborough, TN. Wife likes the climate and I like the environment there. Any pits falls to moving there????

Cheap taxes, cheap land, abundant wood, mild winters.
Friends bought a place near Sneedville and have been building for a few years.

That would put you in easy driving distance of Twin Oaks and the Tennessee Classic. That's always a bonus for anyone building self bows.

Probably close to 100K acres of public hunting land within 30 miles of Waynesborough. I live just across the state line in Bama and hunt Tn mostly. The area doesn't have a lot of industry so there is a backwoods atmosphere about and a lot of good people but plenty of meth heads as well.

Thanks for the replies so far. I don't worry about methheads to much. The 22 years I spent in the Army has taught me to deal with folks like that. They tend to move on when I move into an area...Kinda My own one man Urban Renewal Team.... :D

Beautiful area. I have a few friends that live in Holenwald and would love to live there myself but I still have to work.

Lots of meth heads in AZ, too. Don't let that stop you. Simple biology takes care of them after a few years.

Simple biology - yep. They are making themselves extinct! Good ridance says I.

Looking at the arrest records in the local paper, it appears that for every halfwit meth head that expires two or more idiots start cooking one pot labs to take the deceased place.
Being and old guy, I don't understand the allure of the drug culture, looks like it's akin to selling one's soul to the devil to me.
