Title: pipes

here is a couple of pipes i made if anyone likes that sort of thing. I used to smoke but have given it up. But i still make a few now and then

Very cool! Are they fired porcelain? What's the process for making them?

They are fired food safe earth clay. I hand form the tubes and bowl allow to half dry amd sand to a smother finish and burnish to a shine then fire.

Very cool! Not allot of people make that kind of thing. I like clay pipes, but I never have made one. All of my pipes are made of hardwoods like hickory and some fruit trees.

Good looking pipe there. I havent made a lot of wood pipes because its hard for me to make the stems and i refuse to buy them  :D

The stems are a hard thing to get right. Use hardwood stems with a pith in the center, I use viburnum species. Then take a hot wire and push or drill it through the center to hollow it out. You can also use cane or reed stems, they are naturally hollow.
