Title: Novaculite point

Just found a good stash of novaculite across the boarder. Heres a little point from it before cooked.

Gotta love that nova ! I didn't know it knapped in the raw I heard you have to cook it at really high temps. Well I've never cooked anything other than food so what would I know. Nice point ! Nova is some of my favorite material especially the black !

Good work. My attempts at raw Novaculite were much, much worse. I am pretty sure it was done in old times, but yours is a great example of conquering the stone raw.

Thanks guys, but as always photograph helps. The rock has little hinges at most fractures but a little water before the picture helps to hide it and helps with esthetics.
