Title: Controlling the twist of wood
Post by: wvfknapper on December 23, 2007, 09:22:59 am
Has anyone ever experimented with trying to keep wood staves from twisting, like sealing one side or an end that already has a twist.........Before when I was into bow making I noticed that the Osage I had cut would twist pretty bad, and wondered if there was a way of controlling this.

Have a wonderful Christmas

Roughing it out to near-bow dimensions and clamping it down to a form while it's drying works fairly well.
