I got the stave for this bow from Gus in a trade ( thanks again Gus) and it was near about as perfect as a piece of wood can get, straight as a string and not a blemish on it. It made me a little nervous ,I was scared I might mess it up but I took my time and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. The bow is 62 tip to tip pulling 46@27. 1 3/16 at the fades tapering mid limb to 3/8 tips. Rattan wrapped grip, finish is Linseed oil and 0000 steel wool and burnished with a piece of glass.
I built this to shoot primitive class in the 3D shoots this summer and wanted something with a little Zip to it and was not disappointed. This little bow is surprisingly quick for it's draw weight and a real pleasure to shoot. I was inspired to build this bow by all the great static recurves posted on here lately and would appreciate any constructive criticism or any improvements I might make. Thanks for looking, Dan

Many thanks for all the positive comments, I really do appreciate every single one of them. It's quite an ego boost to have guys who build such incredible wooden bows complement you on your work, thank you for your encouragement.

Well, Piney. It looks like you are "in".
If you get into one of the future bow trades the Trade Runner is going to make a lot of money off taking bribes from people that wanna receive one of your bows! LOL. NOT that any of us Trade Runners would do something like that. O:)
-
I'm really impressed with the tips! I guess those are black walnut?
