I got this stave from Pearl Drums and it proved to be a challenge. It was bent in a C shape when I started and it is full of knots and humps. It took several straightening sessions to get it where it is at now. It just wouldnt give up. It has real nice color and lots of character. It has a slight reflex. When I had originally started this I had intended to make a 50# bow but, it just didnt want to give up weight. I decided to take advantage of a good thing and it turned out 62# @ 27". It is a real animal. It shoots fast and I shoot it better than my other bows. I cant wait for it to warm up so I can get out and shoot it some more. I have around 100 arrows through it right now.
Thanks to everyone at Marty Jam for giving me advice on this. I am really happy with how it turned out.

Great job! Really nice bow.

Impressive bow there Brian. It has great color and character. I really like the contrast the osage from a different tree did for the tips, it is subtle but in a way that only adds to the character of the osage in this bow.

I rarely come back and look at bows several times. This one got me good, Ive stared at it many times over. It really makes a difference having seen the "piece of junk" stave I gave him before he created a bow with it! Again, great bow Ryan.
-
Cool love the character In that one ;)
