I finished this one a couple days ago for someone on the west coast. It's 64" long with 1 3/8" wide shallow D section limbs with 3/8" wide nocks. I glued in some 4" of reflex and she's kept just over 1". She pulls just over 60# @ 28". The ring count on the Yew is fairly low but the density is fairly high. It was clean wood except for a small knot near one recurve. I shot it some using a 700 grain arrow and it's fast. Here's a couple pics

Your bows are always very inspiring! That one is no exception! Awesome!

Oo, oo, I'm on the west coast!
Sorta.
;)
This is incredible Marc. Inspiring.
-
Yep the tiller is spot on - you make them look beautiful at full draw.
-
Thanks guys
This design is a power house of energy. If it would have been strictly a hunting bow I would have made it a bit shorter but the fellow wants to do some target shooting as well
-
Very nicely done,Marc. jawge
-
That's amazing.
-
Nice job, Marc. Boo and yew are a lovely combo... light and lively.
-
Nice! So... how did you do the recurves with the bamboo backing??
-
Nice one Marc.
adb Bamboo bends readily with a heat gun. Not sure if that's what Marc does of course.
-
Wow Marc that combo looks amazing. I love the full draw shot.
-
Dang +1 everybody, thats a beauty, elegant lines
-
Very nice Marc. :)
-
That's a mean machine Marc.
-
That looks like a screamer!
-
Beautiful bow Marc as we have come to expect from you. :)

Thanks guys
Yew does heat bend with a heat gun, most of the time. In this case the recurves were steam bent and then the Bamboo backing glued on. The deflex is glued in
-
I guess its OK ... ::) :laugh:
-
Another sweet bow man! I love your arrow shelfs! I gotta work up the courage to try one that deep into the handle some time.
-
agin , top shelf , been a fan for awhile
-
Thanks again guys, except for maybe chickenhawk there... :)
-
Another beauty!looks very quick!what diameter bamboo did you use?thx's!
-
Sweet and sleek, looks like a fun bow to shoot.
-
That looks sweet, Marc. I bet that 64 inches makes for a smooth draw.
-
I love the look of these types of bows that you make. And that tiller... :o
-
Thanks guys.
I didn't cut the Bamboo I used as I'm too far North for Bamboo to grow here. I got it from James Parker but it looks like it came from at least 3"poles
-
Thanks again guys, except for maybe chickenhawk there... :)
  ...I need to make me another backed lam yew bow....they make a wicked combo,n dare I say I like em better than an unbacked yew self bow :o,whether it be boo, hickory, maple, sinew etc...
-
That looks outstanding. Bet it packs a good punch.
-
A nice one........he should love it.
-
I don't think you could have a more perfect design for a woodbow Mark. Can't get enough of looking at the bows you put out.
-
I keep going back to this one. I have yet to build a bamboo backed bow but would love to build one with that profile and love the full draw bend. Have you done a build along for one of those?
