I just didn't feel right using my modern quiver with my selfbows, so I decided to make a quiver out of a deer hide that an older friend at my sportsman's club graciously gave me. I've never done this before so every stage was a learning process. I viewed a lot of examples on this site, in my Native American books, and on Google. I also had to work with what the material would give me. For example I wanted to make the mouth the opening but the angle was just not right so I compromised and cut off some of the nose and inverted it. Hopefully I'm wearing it when I get my first selfbow deer kill this year, or at least have a lot of fun stalking around the woods with it.

Thanks guys! Ya Killer D, I'll only be using that on private land. Though I'm going to joke with my rifle hunting brother that I'm wearing it during rifle this year. He already thinks I lost my mind with this primitive stuff. :o

haha thanks guys. I'm going to use it at a shoot tonight where most use compounds. I should get some interesting looks. And I think I'll remember more arrows this time because those guys take FOREVER to shoot 3 arrows. ;)
