have some beaver tails skinned out and scraped, do i use them green for handle wraps or should they be boraxed or salted ,washed with dawn dish soap ? thanks for the help.

I wash em with dish soap and stitch em on wet and green. Be careful stitching them as they tear out the holes easily. Josh

I've done what Gun Doc has done made rawhide grips. And yes be very careful to the lacing holes they will tear out very easy.

Glueing a narrow strip of leather on the inside along each end helps reinforce the holes.
