All done except buffing the shine off the tru oil finish when its fully cured in a few more days. Posted this one for a tiller check about a week ago and got some good advice, thanks for the help guys. Did just a little scraping and sanding to get it finished and shooting since then. Had a minor ring separation on the belly mid limb where the grain feathered near the edge, never seen that happen before. I filled it with glue, clamped it and did a few wraps of sinew and seems like it'll be good. I've put a little over 200 arrows out of it and it's a pleasure to shoot for such a short thing. Thanks again to my friend Jon W for sending me this osage already cut to length, he had more faith in my ability to turn out a true shorty than I did. :) I'm enjoying this bow Jon.
specs; 46"ntn osage / 47# @ 23"
ground earth pigment and tru oil finish
dyed deerskin handle wrap, over cork padding on back & belly sides of handle
Thanks for looking, Greg

Simply elegant!
I like the repeating pattern of the diminishing circles. Very simple design that doesn't make the bow look like a cheap spectacle. Just a simple set of beauty marks.

Elegant lines on all profiles, side, back, braced and fd. And i love the dye job, looks authentic with sinew wraps and the decoration rings. Oh, don't forget the matching arrow! Seem's like they are buzzard fletched?

Top shelf! It's great to see so many fine craftsman in one place! Never disappointed with seeing a post from you. Keep up the good work!. Someday someone will be putting these bows in museums as examples of the "Great revival of traditional bowyery" after we nearly lost it at the end of the 20th century.
