Haven't posted a bow in almost a year now, I thought I'd start the new year out with one I recently finished for a good friend. It's from a tree I cut back in '08 in my hometown in AR. It's the shortest rigid handled bow I've made at 58" NtN. I dressed her up in some rattler skins my father-in law sent me from out west. I've really been enjoying lighter weight bows recently and at 40# this bow is a pleasure to shoot but is more than enough to put meat on the table. Accuracy over power is my motto when it comes to long sits in the deer woods ;) I took a few pics of Chuck with his new bow this afternoon. Judging by the grin on his face I think he likes it :)

Great shape to that one and the finish is even better.

Great to see some of your work again. That one is a real honey. I agree with you on what makes a good hunting bow. Those little straight shooting forty pounders are just the ticket when you have been sitting still for a long time. Really fine looking bow.
