Title: More leather work
Post by: adb on January 02, 2014, 09:16:58 pm
Been doing more leatherwork. Made up a sheath for my Suprabeam Q7c LED flashlight. The nylon case it came with is junk. Seriously crap for a quality flashlight.

Used a 360 degree swivel belt carry attachment, so I can carry it horizontal or vertical. Water formed, hand stitched. I also made a retention strap with stud. Although it fits very snug, I'd hate to lose it. I made the retention strap separate... it attaches under the belt swivel, so if it wears out or breaks, it's a 2 second fix.

Thanks, Chris! I haven't done any leatherwork for a long time, and I've kinda just gotten back into it. I must say, I'm rather enjoying it.

Very nice work - I do not get enough time to do all of the things I like to, I just cram em in when I get a chance.

Nice job!  The burnished edges look great, something you don't see on mass-produced junk :)
