Made some self bows over the last few years but haven't done a glue up since 2007 I think. Not too bad. Made mostly from scrap pieces I've had lying around for a decade or so. Bamboo back, 1/16 maple mid lam (scrap from making skateboards), pre tapered osage core(because I barely squeaked a core outa the chunk), maple and walnut everything else. Aside from the maple I made all the boards from raw wood I cut myself. Glue lines are kinda crappy, but I'm rusty.

-
Yeah those are sweet tips! Nice profiles.
-
Nice glue up Booger...or is it Lamar?....:)
-
Very nice!
-
oooo, I like it! Very cool that you milled the boards yourself. I so want to do that myself.
-
Pearl Drums: Huh?
Thanks guys. I may post a full draw pic, but those require another person around my house which isn't very often. ha
-
That's real sleek and classy lookin right there. By the way, glad to see somebody else that cuts and mills their own wood.....not quite as easy as buyin a board is it???? >:D

No but it's cheap! Haha. And my little Delta planer is a beast. I usually just run raw logs and splits through it.

lambda lambda lambda. That's the fraternity name from "Revenge of the Nerds", an 80's movie. Those are character names I mentioned.
-
Nice! I have little experience with these lam bows, but I find them very interesting. This one looks top shelf.
-
Looks nice. From the photos the glue job looks good.

I am working on my first laminate bow. It is ghetto as crap but all I have ATM. It will work good and looks fine but definitely not gorgeous. I am thinking about learning how to make legit ones just to say I can make them. Your bow looks very nice. What woods are they?
-
nice bow , really like the handle!.... i thought you were referencing revenge of the nerds too :))
-
Hahaha....Oh man I'm such a doofus! I was referencing Revenge of the Nerds, I watched it right before I posted this aaaaaand I stiiiill didn't get it!
-
And with less than perfect glue lines, it is def a Booger.
-
NEERRRRRRRRRRRRDS!!!! awesome bow, gotta watch the movie now!
-
Looks flawless to me, very striking bow with interesting contrast between wood types. Also has super unbraced and braced profiles. I wouldn't say it looks like the work of a rusty bowyer, just the opposite actually. Nice bow!
-
Very cool bows
