:) My 9 year old granddaughter wants to do more than bunny hunt. She wants to deer, elk and any other hunting i do. LOL so now she wants to learn about animal tracks so she can find then like granpaw does. She lives in the city with her mom and doesnt get a lot of time in the woods. So i want to get her a book with good pics so we can work on them when we do get time together in the woods. ;D Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks in advance. LOL

I'll try to remember to look when I get home, but I bought one for my kids a couple years ago and it's pretty good. You can get ones from the same edition for different parts of N. America. PM me if I forget. dp

You could print some pics from the internet and make her a custom book tailored to what your going to teach her

Had a copy of this kicking around when I was a kid.

I called the wife and asked her.
The Publisher is "The Mountaineers"
I have one called Animal Tracks of the Smokey Mountains and one called Animal Tracks of the Great Lakes, it's ISBN is 0898861969.
Maybe you can check them out on the intranet. I like this series, it has bird and reptile/amphibian tracks as well.
Hope this helps ya, or gives you a start anyway, dpgratz

I have a copy of that one too from when I was a kid. I checked the link and on the right side there were a bunch of free prints you can print. Maybe not a bad idea to make your own book of the tracks in your area, maybe a great idea for a book from Grandpa. ;) I'm gonna check it out some more myself. dp
