Looking for an Eastern Native American Style back quiver of reed or wicker. If anyone has one and would like to trade for??? Feel free to contact me. I have some interesting stuff to trade...Thanks, Rev. Pete
-
If interested in the style below I can check with my wife if she has time in the near future to weave a quiver.
Thanks,
Dino

I own one and was going to point him your way Dino. I love my basket, very much.
-
Sweet quivers Dino! She needs to make you a few, bet they would go over good at a trade blanket and/or shoot. I like those a lot!! dp
Oh oh...She should do a build a long!! ;D dp
-
Wow. Nice work. That is about what I am looking for...Maybe a bit smaller in diameter. I usually only carry 4-6 arrows when I am out hunting. Have a new Hickory Bow I am finishing and thoughtv one of these would go along nice with it....
-
I got one of Dino's quivers too. They're really nice.

Thanks Ifrit and Chris (Chris I see you are famous now! (PA Mag)).
Mohawk13, send me a PM and we can discuss quiver/trade options.
Thanks,
Dino

Famous Dino? Hardly my friend! I was just in the way of Darryl's camera!
My basket quiver has became a dual purpose keepsake holder as well. I have several shoot/gathering buttons on mine, a turkey beard, a few feathers Ive collected from various shoots on the 3D trail and one bear claw.
-
I had 4 basket quivers I made at the classic two yeas ago and nobody bought one so I gave them away or traded them. :)
-
Hey Dino, you wouldn't be able to post a picture of the bottom of one of those, would you please? They are nice.
-
If Dino doesn't chime in? Ill snap a pic and text it to you tonite Steve.
-
That was lucky...happened to have a pict! Amy also adds a thin disk of wood to the bottom (inside of quiver)...my quiver, which is still kicking after a bunch of years of hard use, does not have a disk of wood...I help save the bottom by adding leaves to the inside of the quiver before inserting my broadheads.

Hey that's my quiver Dino!!
-
Those are freaking amazing. Pleeeeeeease give us more info on how to get one!!!

Just wanted to show off the trap baskets my wife made for my son and I for Christmas last year...she made the basket I'm "modeling" in the pict below for a charity auction. These baskets get lots of use...we hauled many 60 plus pound beaver out of the woods in them...they surprisingly also take quite a beating hauling our steel from set to set, firewood to our hunting shelter...we will be using them soon to haul our campling gear for our archery clubs snowshoe race and camp out.

Really nice work Your wife does. Used to use the Trappers basket back in the late 70's-early 80's for everything from walking the trap line to Boy Scouts...Brings back some memories
-
Just got one of the quivers that Dino's wife makes. It is awesome. Dino tell Amy I love it.
-
always wanted one that was flat on the side to your back , is that possible? they look very well crafted.

Let's see it!

Thanks Jerry! Glad you like the quiver...I will let Amy know!
Below is a pict of the quiver before the stain. I don't think we took a pict of the finished quiver. She will be making another quiver soon...I'll post a couple picts of the weaving process.

ohma2 - I'll check with Amy regarding incorporating a flat side...I would think that she could put in a flat side durng the drying process.
Take care,
Dino

Cannot wait to see those knifes in person! The picts you sent me look awesome!! And you are very generous by including sheaths too...not expected. Thank you very much!!
Take care,

i'm getting pretty antsy... ;) ;D
-
Dino...Still in the market for one...Great looking work there
-
Some really nice work there. Makes me want to come up with stuff to trade for one of them, just getting into this hobby of bow making and related activities. But at some point in the future I may talk to dinorocks about one of these nice quivers.

WOW...My wife Amy just gave me a beautiful handmade knife from NeolithicMan for my recent B-day...this is a knife she traded for a quiver she made. She has had the knife for a while...I'm surprised she kept it a secret from me for so long. Just wanted to thank NeolithicMan (John) again and show it off with a couple picts! He even made the sheath!

The Wife (Amy) is some kinda talented!
And that knife is gorgeous.
-
Amy asked me to make you a patch knife with a more primitive look. Went with a peened look for the pins and a squirrel skin cover for the sheath... wasnt quite sure what makes a sheath primitive so I made it furry! :D
Amy is a sweet woman and makes a great quiver! I still have to make a better strap than the twine Im using now and put a piece of sheep skin in the bottom and then I will post a few pics. October first can't come fast enough!!!!
