now that is freaking cold. where are you working?
-
our high in Minnesota today is 7, tonight were going down to -13.
-
It may not be that cold here yet ( calling for a record M-T night of -2 ) but I'll be out in this mess the next few nights ( snow and sleet ). Twelve hour shifts in the plows unless it gets bad then who knows , I've been out for about 48 hours straight and only stopped long enough to load salt or clean the ice off the wipers . Not to bad if I'm plowing but running around hitting bad spots or surveillance gets old after a while .
Stay safe everyone .
-
10 degrees Fahrenheit here and with the wind chill in the negatives I love it
-
what sucks is that no matter how cold it gets here, it never freaking snows.
-
Haha I don't how you guys do it! Today's high in central Florida was 83 F. I wouldn't have it any other way. It will be nice when it cools off a little though. I'm just not looking forward to the freezes >:D.
-
I'm in Southeast Texas, we broke a 60 year record on Thanksgiving it got down to 28 degrees Fahrenheit! It was 82 yesterday and this evening our second cold snap of the year is blowing in. It dropped down to 60 this evening when I came in. I love our hot weather, it get around 50 and I start dressin like an Eskimo!
-
High 70's here in my parts. I'd rather be cooler in the stand though. Deer stopped moving during hunting hours with it being mid-50's at night. Hard to fill the freezer that way!
-
It's about 30 degrees F and snowing here. We got about an inch or so.
-
it was -17 here this morning, got up to 0 for awhile right now it's -19
-
The high here was about 28, the low tonight will be about 10. Second snowstorm this week should hit tomorrow night. I'm going to start wearing more fur if this keeps up! :o
-
32° this morn in southcentral texas...i need a PARKA!!!!!

-28C -36C with the wind chill as I leave for work this morning... Glad I plugged in the truck last night.... Thinking about going icefishing tomorrow.. Got a new shack gonna need the heater... Ice is about 16'' thick...
Thanks Leroy

Well... if this is a thread about one-up-man-ship, then here yah go... it's -31C this morning, and with the windchill, it's -40C. That cold enough for you guys?
-
adb - Saskatoon always wins that competition...
Thanks Leroy
-
Yah... but it's a dry cold! ;) ;D
-
Like Tim said, we're running between 68-84 down here. :)
-
I once went ice fishing up in Williston, ND at 50F below. Changed a power steering hose in Nipawan Saskatchewan at 51F below. I feel I have sufficiently proven that I can take it, so I do not feel ashamed for having moved down out of the arctic country to South Dakota where it is so much balmier!
-
Like Tim said, we're running between 68-84 down here. :)
SHUT IT!!! >:(

Thanks Leroy

yeah, -35c with the wind today and i work outside!coldest i worked in was - 65c in repluse bay nunavut, good name for the place!lol!
-
I'm surprised you were able to change the tire at all, Stoker. I'da thunk the lug nuts would have been shrunk up inside the body of the car.
Saw the saddest thing today. A little old lady pouring hot water from a teakettle trying to get her little chihuahua unstuck from the fireplug on the corner.
-
BWAHAHAAHA JW... you kill me. Thats worse than licking the pole and getting your tongue stuck.
-
78 here today! Goin down to 55 tonight,,brrrrrrrrrrrr 8)
-
alright ,amending my last post...right now...19°...in Texas...global warming my @##!!!!
-
... and the cold snap continues... -46C this morning.
-
29 below this morning! Worked for several years in Alaska at Prudoe Bay and one winter at Barrow. By XMas there is no light except those Northern Lights and its 80 below. I can tell you for a fact that 80 below is twice as cold as 40 below. JW you don't even think about a fire hydrant at that temperature. Joe
-
Balmy -36C here ,you melon heads always beat us anyways!lol!
-
Boerne Texas.....Low last night of 23 degrees. 23 DEGREES! Our town Christmas parade has been CANCELLED for tonight. Too cold and nobody will show up in this weather. Church camping trip for our boys youth group...CANCELLED! Hanging Christmas lights on the house...CANCELLED! Rumor is it may get up to 39 or 40 later today. We huddle and pray that this passes soon.
-
the northern California coast... is for temperature wussy's, like me.. rarely gets below 30 or above 70. But this morning it's a frigid 25. I'm huddled by the woodstove , burning osage so I can save the bow wood >:D
gabe
-
it got down to -30 yesterday right now it's -18 + 2' of snow it hasn't got above 0 in 5 days.
-
slimbob..i remember last yr. this time..if im not mistaken we would have been hunting in just a longsleeve t-shirt..im near college station.
-
Yep. To cold for man nor beast right now! I will say that I just hate bow season temps in the 90's with mesquitoes trying to carry you off, but this is to freakin COLD!
-
It was so cold here yesterday I saw a teenage boy pull up his pants!
-
Now that's a good'n JW
-

I don't always walk dogs in Canada, but when I do it's always 46 below. Stay frosty, my friend.

HEY... you look like that guy off 'Mountain Men!' Eustace... isn't it? ;D ;D ;D

You northern guys will like this one. All schools in my part of Northwest Alabama were delayed until 10am this morning. It was 30F and there was a chance of freezing rain last night. The roads were dry when I drove to work at 7:30.

About 2 weeks ago it was in the mid 20s and my wife called me while I was in the treestand. That is unusual so I answered. She said it had been a wild morning. She heard screaming coming from our back porch which is odd because nobody is supposed to be on our back porch but our dogs. Then she said, " Did you know a dog could scream?" Our poor little Mt Cur, Lyla, tried to get a drink and her tongue froze to the very frozen over water bucket. My wife had to get warm water and pour over it to get her tongue free. Even our dogs can't handle the cold. I asked her why she didn't video it. We could be rich.

I for one love the cold.... I went outside today in swimmin shorts and shoes. No shirt or socks in the snow... iphill both ways. Of course it was only in the upper 20s so no biggie but still... cold is invigorating.

Come on up here in your 'swimming shorts and flip flops'... I guarantee you you'll find other words than 'invigorating' for our cold. ;D

It's crazy for me to see you all reporting. It's been hot down here in S. Florida. Yesterday it hit about 86. Too hot for this time of year.
