My first attempts at producing stone points..... To be honest i'm quite happy with the results...
Any advice or critique much appreciated....

Pretty good. Here's a page that is a great help. It may say beer bottles but it all works the same as stone. http://www.cavemanchemistry.com/oldcave/projects/stone/bottle.html. It answered a lot of questions for me.

Good job keep at it and it all gets better.

Looks like maybe you got the 3Rivers starter kit? If so, I got the same one when starting. I have a rough time with the aluminum bopper and don't use it. I've seen it used by a master knapper, however, and he got it going. With flakes, I've recently switched to using small rough textured hammerstones like what are in Patrick's (Allergichobbit) videos on the tube. I also started trying some pressure flaking with an antler tine. Using the ABO materials forced me to slow down and FEEL the process more. My pressure flaker broke really quickly but you can just reuse the copper in it in a sturdier handle with JB Weld, or such.
I'm a horrible knapper and have only started having some real success. I recommend watching Patrick's videos, if you haven't. It helped me.
Cool pictures.
