I wad led here by members on the bow blog. I have just finished my third board bow, (linen backed hickory) and want to build my first self bow.
I'm looking for yew, hickory, Osage, or eastern red cedar.
Any help out there?
Thanks in advance!

What can you offer for trade? What sized staves are you looking for?

For shipping and and some idem, ;) ;D ;D I will send u a stave of pecan or elm. It won't be seasoned but I will take all precautions for checking and in TOXOPHILUS (a book) English bowyers had to make a yew warbow and 2 elm bows for training bows, so a ratio of 1:2. Elm was their next best wood. And hickory is just like pecan I have heard.
