Title: glues

when making a sinew glue whats the procedure  do you just have to boil it in water / and what are some other home made glues any info will help thanks -sb

You can buy liquid hide glue or granular,,,,,,,,,Dissolve the granular in a double broiler with a small amount of water,, just don't get the glue too hot, it will shrivel the sinew when dipped................Or you can make it from scratch by using animal skins, hoof etc...........I heard jello gelatin works also.

Yes boil it in water.  I believe the magic temp is just below 185*.  Hide or sinew are the best options if you want to make your own.  Justin
