I'm lovin' that idea.  I have a fryer, I need a new kettle for it.  My large one has a puncture for some reason.  But, heck yeah.  A fish fry would be awesome at Moon Tree with some hushpuppies and Caribian jerked sweet potato chips.  YUM!

Nice fish Bill! The reservoir I live on has a great population of crappies. We only bump into those biggun's in the spring when they are easy to find and catch. Great fish!

Man it's deer season! What in the world are you doing? Lol, wish I had me a mess of those...I would be more productive fishing than hunting this year. Having a hard time...

				15" WOW!!!
That's a bigun!
Here in NY we fish for them through the ice in the winter. We use 1# test line, I'll bet that size fish would put up an epic battle on 1# test.

I used to catch MONSTERS like that in N. Illinois near the Wisconsin border.  I lived on a lake that was loaded with 'em.  They were flat suckers in the spring for a little gold bead head nymph on a fly rod.  Before the days of a camera phone...ugh.
Great fish.

Thanks all for the comments ....................
These days (my older years) I do all my hunting the morning and then fishing in the afternoon....makes a good combo for weekend.
Fish fry at Moontree? .................  ??? :-\ :-\ ;)
Oh by the way my wife said it was gooood eat'n.  I didn't get a bite of that one.  I lost 5 jigs in the tree he was in and didn't catch another big one ....just 8 more about 11" long.
And yep they were good.
Till next time...
