hi my name is Oz from Istanbul/Turkey. I've been interesting with archery/selfbows about 6 months. So i had a chance in this summer of August to find a stave. Well now i'm working on a hornbeam a little bit shaped up. Also i have a common juniper saving for later. thats all for me.  :)

Welcome to PA, Oz. Show pictures of your progress. Both woods you have are capable of becoming very good bows if designed and executed properly.

Just noticed this post. Welcome. I spent about a week in Izmir Turkey back in 1996 while in the Marines. I still remember all of the beautiful shotguns in the stores there. It was one of my favorite ports that we visited.
